Judge Glenn Robert Salter received his undergraduate degree from the University of Redlands, his J.D. from Loyola Law School, and his master’s degree from California State University, Long Beach. After passing the California bar in 1975, he worked for the State Bar before becoming a research attorney for the Orange County Superior Court in 1976. Then, in 1980, he became deputy county counsel for the County of Riverside before going back to the court as a supervising research attorney in 1987. In 1988, he became senior research appellate attorney for Division Three of the Fourth District Court of Appeal, moved to Drummy, Garrett, King and Harrison in 1990, then to Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro in 1991, Singer and Silvergleid in 1992, and then back to the Fourth District Court of Appeal in 1993. In 1999, he became managing appellate attorney, a role he stayed in until being appointed to the bench in 2010 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is a republican.
